Large FSC Timber Overlap Cold Frame

Large FSC Timber Overlap Cold Frame is ideal for hardening off larger plants. It has two independently open lids that can be held open with the supplied props. This wooden cold frame has acrylic glazed windows making it safer and less likely to break. Manufactured from FSC certified timbers that carry a fifteen year expected life service. Cold frames are used as the stepping stone for young plants between growing in a greenhouse to being transferred outdoors: if a plant is moved straight outside into the cold it can stunt its growth, so a cold frame is a great way to ease it into life in outside.

Measurements

This item is made from pressure treated wood. The wood may show signs of the treatment upon delivery. A Green tint and or signs of crystallisation (green or black specks) on the surface of wood may be evident. This is normal and will clear with use and exposure to the elements over time. Pressure Treated products should not be treated with any other treatment product for the first 3-6 months. Please note that Wood is a natural product and splits and cracks may be present on delivery or will appear over time. This is due to changes in temperature and humidity causing the timber to expand and contract. This is to be expected and is normal and is not a cause for concern. This will not affect the strength or durability of your timber product.
